Our Mission

The Mission of Wichita's Future PAC is to utilize diverse civic engagement opportunities on important public policy, economic development and infrastructure decisions that must be made for the next generation of Wichitans to create policy that is reflective of the community.

Call us idealists, but we think if you engage with your community, you build trust. If we're going to move Wichita forward, we need to build trust in one another, in our businesses, and in our government. 

What does engagement look like? Everybody engages their local government differently, so to represent and hear as many citizens as possible, we must engage in many ways.

Building trust.

Too often, the citizens of Wichita feel surprised and left out of the policymaking process. They're not wrong. Some of these feelings are unavoidable.

Wichita has a Council-Manager form of government, and the City Manager controls the council agenda. The City Manager is only accountable to the City Council.

We look to empower citizens by engagement with their elected officials so the agenda reflects the needs of our community equally, not just those with the most influence.

Fostering a nonpartisan good government culture.

We’re interested in moving Wichita forward. We know you’ve heard this one before. So let us be clear: our objectives are not partisan. 

We believe there are leaders from all political persuasions who love Wichita and want to see it thrive.  We seek a policy agenda focused on Wichita’s future, always. That means breaking down old barriers, opening lines of communication, and working together for our shared purpose.
